FOUNDERS’ DAY CELEBRATION – PRIMARY
1
Primary Section celebrated the Founders Day on 22nd August 2014, at 7.30 am with the consent of the Principal.
The Head of Primary and Teacher Educator hoist the National Flag and the College Flag respectively, to remark the 122nd Founder’s Day.The Head of Primary delivered a speech about the Founders’ and benefactors who have done immense services to the upliftment of the college.

Founders’ Day 2014 will be held on 22nd August 2014 at N.D.H.Abdul Gaffoor Hall, Zahira College at 4.00 p.m. Founders’ Day Oration will be delivered by the Guest Speaker Mr.V.Anandasangaree (Former Parliamentarian) on “Contribution of Zahira to the Sri Lankan Society”

Founders day 2014 which was held on 22nd at College premises. Guest speaker, former MP and distinguished old boy V. Anandasangaree delivered the Founder’s Day oration; “Contribution of Zahira to Sri Lankan society”. Also special guest Dr. Saroja Weththasinghe, Director of the National Archives spoke a few words about the newly opened archives section of the college.

Zahira College emerged champions at the Kotmale Chox Under 19 Schools’ Football Final beating St.Peter’s College 2 goals to 1. The tight encounter was held on 19th August 2014 at the Sugathadasa Stadium.

The most senior staff of zahira college Mr. K. Ravindran, the former vice principal farewell ceremony was held on 08th July 2013 at the college premises. He joined the college on 1984 and served 28 years of service at the college.
