The “Rahmath Pathipagam”  (Chennai) Private Limited is a non-profit organization that disseminates religious charitable work. Established in 1993 in Chennai, it has since organized numerous events aimed at enriching the Tamil-speaking Muslim community with translated Islamic primary sources. Over the past three decades, they have conducted Higher Secondary School, with more than 1000 students, aimed at fostering female education in Muthuppettai, India. Mr. M.A. Musthafa, the founder of Rahmath Pathipagam, initiated the translation of the Primary sources of Islam into Tamil language as it is the mother tongue of Tamil-speaking Muslims.

The publications of Rahmath Pathipagam, including online platforms, have reached thousands of Tamil-speaking Muslims residing in various countries worldwide. Among the translated texts are significant Islamic works such as “Tafsir Ibn Kathir” (10 volumes), “Sahih Bukhari” (7 volumes), “Sahih Muslim” (6 volumes), “Sunan Abu Dawood” (5 volumes), “Sunan an-Nasa’i” (6 volumes), “Sunan at-Tirmidhi” (5 volumes), “Sunan ibn Majah” (5 volumes), and “Shama’il Muhammadiyah” (1 volume), totaling 35 volumes. Moreover, 11 volumes of Islamic history, including the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the caliphates of Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and Ali, have been translated and published by Rahmath Pathipagam.

In collaboration with educational institutions, the Rahmath Pathipagam has been instrumental in organizing seminars and events aimed at promoting Islamic studies alongside conventional education, thereby contributing to the global dissemination of Islamic knowledge. Recently, they launched the Tamil translation of “Mishkat al-Masabih,” further enriching their contributions to Islamic literature. On March 1st, 2024, at 4.00pm. a significant event will be held at the Abdul Ghafoor Hall, Zahira College, Colombo, where eminent scholars will gather, including AshShaikh Agar Mohamed, the Rector of Naleemiah Institute of Islamic Studies.

The founder of Rahmath Pathipagam, Mr. M.A. Mustafa, along with scholars from Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka, will participate in this special event. This event aims to celebrate their remarkable contributions in promoting righteousness, knowledge, and social welfare, thereby earning the respect and admiration of many.

Among the releases of Rahmath Pathipagam , one notable publication is the Tamil translation of “Sahih Muslim,” first released in 2006 under the leadership of the late Dr. M.A.M. Shukri, which remains a cherished memory.

Following the book launching event at Zahira College, Colombo the same event is scheduled to be held on the 3rd of March at 9:30 a.m., at the auditorium of the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka.
