Junior school

During these six years of Secondary School education, from Grade 6 to 11, the student’s intellectual, artistic, physical and social growth and development are intensified and extended to a foundation designed to suit children to appear for the GCE O Levels. This Sri Lankan National Curriculum aims to produce confident and capable learners, who are able to interconnect effectively. Our qualified teachers encourage group interactions such as developing learning communities and frequent Work Shops conducted by professionals and opportunities are also sought beyond the classroom to broaden the experience and learning of each and every student through visits and field trips. The students are kept busy with frequent competitions and events, required to build their strength and character for tomorrow’s competitive world which they’ll step into in a short span of time.

The past few years have seen a dramatic improvement in the quality of teaching facilities along with further expansion in our investment in good modern resources and are increasingly looking to IT to aid the learning process. Our teachers and the academic staff are always there to assist the students in balancing their commitments between studies and sports and are happy to offer further assistance with a subject if required, as well as encouraging pupils who have a particular interest in a subject area. At the heart of what we do lies the idea of ‘Active Learning’ where students are reinvigorated to grow their own desire for learning and critical enquiry.
